Edinburgh Printmakers was established in 1967 as the first open access studio and gallery in Britain dedicated to promoting contemporary printmaking.

Printmakers was formerly housed at the top of Leith Walk but, after receiving a substantial grant from the Heritage Lottery, have taken over substantial renovations of the once derelict North British Rubber Company on Fountainbridge.  Their new home, set to be open to the public in 2019, promises to be a vibrant creative hub, placing art and creativity at the heart of this up-and-coming part of town.

The £12.3million project will create an international centre for printmaking and creative industries. With a year-round programme of exhibitions, events and learning opportunities in the pipeline, as well as new galleries, learning spaces, workshops and a cafe in place, we're very excited to see what the future holds for this new hub of wonderfulness.
