Samizdat Eastern European Film Festival is the first Scotland-based festival dedicated exclusively to cinema from Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. This year, the main programme of screenings takes place in Glasgow from 30 September to 4 October; the programme then travels across Scotland, with screenings across Edinburgh, Ayr, Aberdeen and online.
This year's Samizdat line-up consists of a Ukrainian Cinema strand, a quartet of teen films under the banner ‘Slackers, Misfits, Rebels: Teens on Film’, a short film competition, and their much-beloved animation strand Ani-Masters which will be showcasing the best in Czech animation and stop motion.
