Zizzi's knack for converting local listed buildings into branches of their mainstay Italian eateries hits the nail on the hungry head once again when it comes to the Princes Square restaurant in Glasgow. Take a seat outside on the balcony, order yourself some of their divine antipasti, and before you know it Princes Square transforms into Princes Piazza, and reality is suspended over a glass chilled Frascati. Or if it's raining, grab a table inside and work your way through a big ol' calzone, all the while enjoying the local artwork bedecking your shelter from the chilly outdoors. The extensive menu offers four distinct sections of antipasti, salads, mains, including pasta, pizza and risottos and desserts, with extensive choices under each head. Open from brunchtime all the way through to late evening, it's pretty much a given that Zizzi can be counted upon to deliver just what you're in the mood for, come rain or - let's be honest - rain (in Glasgow, at least). Either way, you know what you're getting with Zizzi, and it's gonna be good.
