Housed among the regal greenery of Sandyford Place, McPhabbs joins the likes of Big Slope, Distill and Lebowski’s on that list of last stops on the West-end bar-crawl. Despite grand appearances, McPhabbs is essentially just a pub, with a decent selection of drinks, a solid pub lunch menu, a pool table, and a few widescreens for the football. More tellingly however, McPhabbs entertains a far more mixed clientele than surrounding establishments, which is great news for anyone getting tired of Distill’s impenetrable air of cool, or that fine aroma of big dogs and wax jackets you get in the Ben Nevis.

McPhabbs is also a cracking summer pub, with plenty of picnic tables out back and a patio overlooking Sandyford Road, making it great for a spontaneous mid-afternoon cider. They also proudly serve a Sunday roast all day, every week, meaning you can 100% rely on 'em to rescue you from the depths of your weekend hangover. Wunderbar!
