Stock Exchange House | Glasgow G2 1QY
After Chambre 69's sudden closure a few years ago, the all new 69 Below was certainly a welcome return to Glasgow City centre. You'll find it in a subterranean slice of Nelson Mandela place (at Number 69, surprisingly).
Under its newest guise, the venue provides one of the freshest club spaces in the area. It's not even a tipsy hop, skip and jump from the Queen St train station, so you'll betcha it's central enough to get pretty pumping on its bigger nights.
It's also a pretty neat venue for live music, with previous performers leaving accolades praising the intimacy of the venue and its crystal-clear sound. Their gear speaks for itself - with a 430 capacity and a good ol' Funktion-One soundsystem, it's definitely worth checking out.
If that's got you clamouring for a night underground at no. 69, keep an eye on their website and Facebook for regularly updated club listings and interviews.
