Just south of the city centre, in Rutherglen, Cathkin Braes country park is rich in history. The highest point in Glasgow, it's a great for a stroll - or for mountain biking, as the park has some of the toughest MTB trails in the country - so tough, in fact, that the park hosted the mountain bike competitions of 2014's Commonwealth Games.
