Looking Glass Books

Tucked away in the new glass development of the Quartermile, Looking Glass Books combines a cafe, an independent bookshop and a wee space for events. Full of mismatched furniture and comfy couches, Looking Glass Books welcomes all to settle in, find a book and have a nice cup of tea. Throughout the day, hot drinks including top quality tea from local experts Eteaket are on offer as are a wide selection of brightly coloured and very tempting cakes. Locally made sandwiches, salads and soups have also recently been added to the menu if you’re after something more savoury. The bookshop is modest but full of quality, handpicked titles and are often accompanied by scribbled recommendations from staff. The shop also hosts book groups, children’s workshops and launch parties and the events space can be specially reserved, if you ask nicely.
