You'll find Victor & Carina Contini's Scottish Cafe and Restaurant at the Scottish National Gallery, right in the very heart of Princes Street gardens. It's a lovely option if you're looking to eat some seasonal treats in a stimulating setting (and who isn't, to be honest). They serve up seasonal and sustainable food, meaning you can look forward to guilt-free and super fresh dishes like traditional Cullen Skink or Macaroni Cheese with East Lothian leeks and tomato and Isle of Mull Cheddar. There's a charming balance between classiness and cheekiness which suits Edinburgh to a T. Oh - and did we mention they do breakfast and traditional Sunday roasts too? Bloody great.
The venue also hosts Gallery Suppers, a civilised wee soirée in the gallery itself where you'll be treated to drinks, after-hours art and dinner for a rather a reasonable price (considering the tastiness of the canapés).
If you're interested in this place, you might also want to check out sister venues Victor and Carina Contini Ristorante and Victor and Carina Contini Caffe.
