Seeing a show?  Want some pre-gig grub?  Need to escape the library?  Panic not - DAI PAI's got you covered!

This nifty little Asian eatery set up shop on Edinburgh's Nicolson Street in 2016, and has done well to make its mark on a part of town where new bars and restaurants seem to pop up on an almost weekly basis.  In terms of location, it doesn't get much better than this; Edinburgh University's main campus is just around the corner, and it's equal walking distance to both Festival Theatre and The Queen's Hall.

DAI PAI takes its name from the street food stalls of Hong Kong, and true to form, the menu plays host to a steady mix of flavoursome treats from across Asia.  There's traditional sushi, laidback hirata buns, gyozas and, of course, the legendary sushirrito - which, if you've never had one, is a bit like the lovechild of a burrito and a sushi wrap, and a marvellous creation at that.

Open from ten-to-ten, with laidback seating arrangements and barstools in the windows, DAI PAI is the perfect place to nip in you're looking for something quick and tasty to keep you going without breaking the bank.  That's if you manage to refrane from seconds, of course...
