Whiski Rooms is a restaurant and a bar with a wee whisky tasting room out back – a haven for those who like to slurp the sweet national nectar. Specialising in Scottish fare, food is freshly made, seasonal and locally sourced to guarantee quality. You can usually take your pick from three or four á la carte menus, including breakfast, lunch and dinner. And, being the celebratory types they are, Whiski Rooms tend to put on a excellent spread for Burns night, Valentine's, the festive season and Hogmanay.

If you're a devoted whisky fan, it's probably worth keeping an eye on their website too – that way you're the first to know about special events being held in the whisky bar. Speaking of which, there are 300 whiskies to choose from, not to mention cocktails and an extensive wine list – y'know, for if you're in Whiski Rooms but you don't really fancy an actual whisky. Tasting sessions are hosted daily with a whisky specialist in tow to guide you through extensive varieties of Scotland's finest export. Slurp.
