Assembly Festival is a subsection of the Edinburgh Fringe, which comprises seventeen temporary theatre venues, along with Assembly's permanent venue Assembly Roxy. Set atop the Mound, a fringe-goer will find Assembly hall - a magnificent venue which presents some of the finest drama, music and comedy.

Overlooking Princes St Gardens and Waverley Station, it's an impressive ol' venue. It was formerly the Scottish Parliament meeting place, and throughout the year it's known to students as New College. That said, it is available for occasional venue hire at most points during the year. Check out Assembly's website and social media or up-to-date programmes and information about listings and venue hire

Assembly can accommodate 1000 people in its tiered seating set-up, and hosts everything from musical theatre to circus, physical theatre to children's shows. The entrance and box office are located through New College Quad off Mound Place, and the venue houses three spaces - The Hall, Rainy and the Baillie.
