Castle Club

Castle Clvb (no, that is not a typo – that's how the cool kids are spelling it) occupies the three-room venue in Queensferry formerly home to Berlin Bierhaus. It's situated to the west of Princes Street and nestled in a bar-studded area of Edinburgh. Having installed a brand new Function One soundsystem and sensory LED light panels – and promising to plug a gap in the Edinburgh electronic landscape – it has already hosted the likes of Jamie XX, Mayaan Nidam, and German duo Benoit & Sergio.

Particularly popular within the student scene is Moonshine, a Friday night selection of mainstream madness. Another is Banzai Wednedays, a night tailored specifically to societies and sportsfolk with cheap drinks and equally affordable entry. However, the club also hosts an array of new music nights, putting on alternate house and techno parties,and a range of label showcases in between – ideal if Taylor Swift isn't really your jam.
