Lust and The Apple is an art gallery, located in the scenic Scottish countryside 14 miles south of Edinburgh. As a former Primary School, Lust and The Apple’s unique exhibition space consists of former classrooms, concrete toilets and a former car park. Given its rural and beautifully aesthetic location, the gallery exhibits work both inside and outside the gallery’s walls, where there is a 1000 square metre garden to make use of! Each quarter, up to four artists are invited to exhibit their work at the gallery, with both the indoor and outdoor exhibition space to choose from. Artists range from the internationally well-known to relatively new artists, emerging butterfly-like on to the art scene. The gallery is the new venture of Paul Robertson, former curator at Summerhall where he oversaw a successful visual arts programme for three years. Lust and The Apple is open at the weekends, from 12pm-5.30pm, or by appointment.
