With the recent decline of Aikman's, the Whey Pat remains St Andrews' only 'old man pub' that you don't need a beard to appreciate. Regular Ale Festivals highlight the pubs huge range of beers, especially draught ales, and are complemented by the Pat's famous nachos and beef sandwiches. A mixture of students and locals create a relaxed atmosphere among the great staff banter. Also hosts regular blues and folk nights, as well as student society meetings- including the Doc Soc (yes... that is a Doctor Who club) quiz night.
