The Priory Bar and Kitchen

Illuminated glass skulls line the minimalist walls of The Priory; a bar and kitchen with a medicinal-themed menu which promises to fix your ailments with cocktails and posh bar food. 

The Priory takes its cocktail making seriously, and has a kind of Heston Blumenthal feel about it – with cocktail syrups, foams and juices being brewed in-house. The extensive cocktail menu features tweaked classics and brand new concoctions, and glasses come out glistening with ice, which, by the way, is frozen twice for extra cool. If you're more of a cider drinker, you'll rejoice at the sight of their new range of Blind Pig ciders, which come in the terrifically exciting flavours of Bourbon & Blueberry, Whiskey Honey & Apple and Rum & Poached Pear.

A nice selection of share boards, bar snacks and pub classics are on offer, too, so you’re sure to leave with a revitalised mind, body and soul. Priced in the mid-range area, you can expect starters for around a fiver, mains for around £7-8. Not the cheapest, but presentation is beautiful and the food is snazzy and fresh - so whatcha complaining about?
