Can’t wait until 27 October when Stranger Things returns to Netflix? If you’re in Edinburgh you can immerse yourself in the world of the show now with new pop-up bar The Upside Down, which will be open in the capital until Halloween.

The pop-up bar is named after the parallel dimension that was home to the Demogorgon, the terrifying creature that terrorized the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana in the first series of Stranger Things, but the venue itself promises to be far more hospitable. On the menu will be 80s cocktails, hard shakes and boozy ice-cream floats.

Created by the crew from The Pop Up Geeks who brought us Game of Thrones bar Blood & Wine, The Upside Down can be found at Six Degrees North on Howe Street, and is open every Sunday to Friday until 31 October. For more details, head to thepopupgeeks.com/the-upside-down

The Upside Down pop-up bar celebrate Halloween (and the launch of Stranger Things Season 2) on 31 Oct with a Halloween party that will include a classic horror movie marathon; Season two of Stranger Things is streaming on Netflix from 27 Oct.
