The Dancehouse Theatre

The Dancehouse Theatre is a large theatre located on Oxford Road, hosting theatre, music and comedy. Since opening in 1994 The Dancehouse has hosted touring drama productions as well as one off independent events. It has also seen stand up comedy from the likes of Johnny Vegas, Bill Bailey and Rich Hall, and has heard live music from MONEY and FKA twigs in recent years. The theatre is also a great place for film screenings with an old picturehouse atmosphere — it's a regular home to some of the Grimmfest screening events. Home to several dance studios, the building is the location of the Northern Ballet School who often hold performances open to the public.
