Steak on Stones is the new offering from Steak Edinburgh, the ultimate meat mecca at Picardy Place (aka vegetarins look away now). It is a meat lover’s paradise, with ‘Steak on Stones’ meaning quite literally just that. Here’s how a typical visit to the restaurant goes – thinly sliced Orkney Gold Beef is brought to your table, and then comes the exciting part, the 350 degree volcanic lava stone is laid down, the silver lid is removed and the heat hits you in the face, just like that moment when you step off the plane on holiday! A generous sprinkling of crackling sea salt is encouraged followed by the succulent beef. Meat lovers can cook the steak to their own liking on the hot stone, making it a dining experience and tests your culinary skills whilst you’re at it. Sizzles all round.
