Ahh, the humble taco. Who'd have thought that so much love could be filled into a tortilla? And yet, if the staff at Bodega are to be believed, it's true!
When this little taqueira first opened up in Leith, it would have been easy to miss it, given its size. Thankfully, the colourful walls and flavoursome food have caught the attention of passers-by and quickly won over the hearts of Edinburgh's residents.
Bodega specialise in all things taco, but these are not your average cheddar 'n' chilli tacos. These are crammed-to-the-brim with all kinds of deliciousness tacos. There's a whole host of world food creations to choose from, so whether you're looking for Jamaican jerk pork, roasted squash with black bean puree or tempura tiger prawn, the folks down at Bodega have got you covered. There's an ever-changing board of specials too, if you're in need of new taco-spiration.
Small it may be, but Bodega has proved mightily successful in Edinburgh's ever-increasing sea of world food joints. So much so that they've kindly gone and opened up a second branch over in Tollcross. They've also been voted one of the top places to top up on tacos (could there BE any more alliteration?) by our readers in our annual 2018 Food and Drink Survey in the Best Tacos category.
