Assembly George Square is the name of the red-coloured fizzy hub of festival activity near Edinburgh University. It's made up of a few separate venues, the first of which is George Square Gardens, a faux-pasture which houses the Spiegeltent Colombino, the Victorianesque Bosco Tent, and also the Caravan. George Square theatre boasts its own purpose built theatre fit for 500 performance-hungry punters, along with the Assembly George Square Studios from number One to Five.

If you're interested in other Assembly venues at the fringe festival, then might we suggest you check out our pages for Assembly Roxy, Assembly Hall and Assembly Checkpoint? It's worth a mention that the Roxy's open all year long, and is a pretty awesome duo of theatres and a snug bar under the roof of what was once Lady Glenorchy's Church.

If all that information has left you' feeling ever so slightly overwhelmed, you're probably in good company. So, we've compiled a handy guide to navigating the fringe, which you can check out here. Happy fringe-ing!
