La Belle Angele

La Belle Angele was one of the city's most popular music venues – having played host to the likes of Oasis, the Libertines and Shooglenifty before it was destroyed in the blazing Cowgate fire of 2002.

However, the venue has certainly made its triumphant return. Finding its new home underneath a large city hotel, their new digs sees them in a slightly bigger venue capacity of around 500 (aka expect more mischief and many misty-eyed "It feels like I'm 17 again!" nights out). In terms of clubs, look out for Karnival, Revolver and a whole host of guest DJ appearances.

The venue also hosts afterparties and one-off events, like the more recent Cowgate pop up market. Keep an eye on their social media for gig listings and further updates. It's safe to say that La Belle Angele is back with a vengeance, like a party-girl phoenix from the ashes of Cowgate.
