Fest is the biggest free guide to the Fringe, reaching half a million people every summer in Edinburgh. As of 2015, Fest is now part of the Radge Media family, meaning the same year-round talent that put together The Skinny every month is joining forces with the award-winning journalistic legacy behind one of the most trusted and respected magazines for the Edinburgh festivals. In February 2018, Fest launched a sister edition in Adelaide, Australia, to cover the Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Festival and WOMADelaide.

From 2022, following an inevitable pandemic-induced hiatus, Fest's frequency has changed from a six-issue model to a four-issue model to give a longer shelf life to each Review edition in August.
