So it's 22 December, and we're just about to wrap up for the year. We've already shared our overall albums of the year with you, looked back at the year in Scottish music (with an accompanying Scottish albums of the year list), and this year we've even brought you a playlist of our music team's favourite songs of the year. Yes, that's right, we've truly been spoiling you.

But wait, there's more! As is tradition, it's time for our annual Great Scots playlist, where we celebrate lots of excellent music being made by artists based in or from Scotland. It's obviously been another a banger of a year for Scottish music, with Young Fathers dominating the musical landscape far and wide, but there's been loads of other stuff going on too, which is why we've compiled a list of 140 songs (including YF, you're welcome) that we think are worth getting acquainted with.

You'll find dreamy bops from the likes of Joesef, electro bangers from LVRA, Fourth Daughter and Free Love, gorgeous ballads from Alice Faye and Pippa Blundell, indie-rock perfection from Lucia & The Best Boys and Theo Bleak, bouncy hip-hop from Bemz and Chef the Rapper, forward-thinking jazz from corto.alto, new electronic music from Idlewild frontman Roddy Woomble as Almost Nothing, and bags more.

It's not in any particular order, so enjoy it however you like, and if you find something you love that you didn't know before, please support these artists. Oh, and if you don't already follow our regularly updated Music Now: New Scottish Music playlist, now would be the time to do that too.
