Domiciles – Only You (Video Premiere)

Domiciles are the latest band to join the ranks of the Last Night From Glasgow roster. A psychedelic music collective from Fife, the band have been around since 2015 and are comprised of Nick Young (vocals and guitar), Rory Cowieson (guitar), Daniel Wilson (bass), Sean Harkins (drums) and Jamie Wilson (keys).

Brought to our attention at the start of September with their hypnotic first single – Only You – for the crowd-funded not-for-profit label, being released as part of their Three Bands EP alongside L-space and Cloth, we are delighted to be premiering its accompanying video which you can watch in the YouTube player above (click here if it’s not displaying correctly).

To explain where the inspiration for Only You came from, Young tells us: "I had been thinking about the feeling of being ‘in awe’ – being aware of something, that something immediately commanding great respect.

"I’ll use this example – when you walk inside a beautiful cathedral there’s this feeling that you’re standing in the presence of greatness," he continues, "And that awareness of something that is much bigger than you, you could be attributing that to anything; it’s not necessarily a religious thing. That could be being ‘at one’ with God or just being aware of the immense architecture, or whatever. I think about that a lot. I wrote the chord progression thinking about that."
