Spring Selections

This month Spring has sprung and this means the sun is hanging around a wee bit longer allowing us all a few more hours to laze around sipping beverages in the sunshine. 'Tis the season of fresh fruit, and essentially any alcohol and fruit combination - if kept simple - works. Here are some citrus suggestions to get fruity with:

Simple
Jager Crush
Fresh Lime and Demerara Sugar, muddled. Add plenty of crushed ice and top with Jagermeister - an interesting and palatable blend of herbs, spices and citrus. Warning: enough of these and you will undoubtably contract Jager-Courage...

Standard
Fructify
Fresh Berries - Blueberries, Blackberries, Strawberries (or your personal selection), 35ml Vodka, 15ml Cointreau (or Triple Sec) well shaken with ice then top with soda - fruits of the forest eat your heart out.

Advanced
Bitter Sweet
Muddled Pink Grapefruit wedges, 35ml Gin, 15ml Paradiso (or Lychee Liqueur) shaken over ice and topped with blood orange juice - more vitamin c than you can shake a cocktail umbrella at, great for those spring-time sniffles.

These Sumptuous cocktails await your drinking pleasure, should be consumed with friends and sunshine. Enjoy.
