Manipulate / ECA Animation Showcase: Percepta by Santiago Calle Velez

Video | 17 Feb 2014

The Skinny magazine presents Percepta (2005) by Santiago Calle Velez, one in a series of selected works from Edinburgh College of Art's past graduates in the discipline of animation. A selection of some of the best of ECA's graduate animation work from the past 20 years will be screened at the 2014 Manipulate festival.

In Velez's strange, hallucinatory, computer-animated film, old and new technologies unleash strange beasts, and the even stranger effect of persistence of vision. Clockwork mechanisms are wound and tampered with by bizarre creatures.
