Hello and welcome to the last events newsletter of the year! That's right, we are about to take a big big break, but we've packed in events over the next few weeks to tide you over until our big return in January. Topping the list is a wee birthday celebration: Edinburgh club night Headset turns 10 this year and to celebrate the big milestone, they’re throwing a three-day festival of some of the best names in Scotland across the spectrum of rave, sound system, techno and experimental this weekend

Taking over four rooms at The Mash House from 20-22 December, there's truly an embarrassment of riches here: find the likes of Feena, Neil Landstrumm, Hu-Sane, Proc Fiskal and Eclair Fifi (pcitured) playing across the weekend from 5pm-5am every night. Happy partying!

Ponyboy NYE
Stereo, Glasgow. 31 Dec, 9pm
Ring in the mid-point of the decade (and forget about what a horrifying notion that is) at Ponyboy’s New Year’s Eve bash. Expect the usual incredible DJs playing everything from hyperpop to techno, incredible light and visuals, and all-out costumes.

Hogmanay Extravaganza
The Pitt, Edinburgh. 31 Dec, 6pm
Party at the recently opened The Pitt at Granton with their Hogmanay Extravaganza. There's live music by Delta Mainline, a ceilidh by Juniper, and DJ sets by Austin Ato and Soul Jam, as well as all their usual food and drink trucks.

Peter Panto & The Incredible Stinkerbell
Tron Theatre, Glasgow. Until 5 Jan, various times
There's still time to squeeze in a panto before the season ends and we're big fans of reigning panto queen Johnny McKnight's subversive adaptations. He's the writer, director and star of Peter Panto & The Incredible Stinkerbell – it'll be unlike any panto you've seen.
