The snowy slopes of Sundance are being brought one step closer this week with Sundance London on Tour: three films from this year's Sundance Film Festival, screened as part of Sundance London, beamed right into cinemas here in Scotland from 10-12 June. It's a few degrees of separation but we'll take it when the films are this good.

First up is the UK premiere of Good Luck To You, Leo Grande, a heartwarming, sex-positive comedy starring national treasure Emma Thompson and rising star Daryl McCormack, about a retired schoolteacher and widow attempting to discover her sexuality for the first time.

On over the weekend meanwhile is Free Chol Soo Lee, a razor-sharp documentary about the racial profiling and unjust incarceration of Korean immigrant Chol Soo Lee in 1970s San Francisco. Rounding off proceedings is A Love Song, a tender portrait of yearning and loneliness set against the wild American landscape.

Screenings take place at Glasgow Film Theatre and the Cameo in Edinburgh, as well as Belmont Filmhouse in Aberdeen and Eden Court in Inverness.

Daniel Silver: Looking
Fruitmarket, Edinburgh. 11 Jun-25 Sep
Daniel Silver’s organic, roughly hewn clay sculptures are preoccupied by the act of looking: the viewer looking at the art, the art gazing back at the viewer. Together, the collection interrogates the relationship between art, its environment and its audience, and the ways in which acts of looking can be embodied. Image: Artist / Frith Street Gallery

Voka Gentle
The Hug and Pint, Glasgow, 16 Jun, 7:30pm
There’s a kind of sweet ethereality to Voka Gentle, a gentle avant-garde edge cut through with a comic sensibility that refuses to take anything too seriously - even their own music. Mixing achingly tender electronica with a heartfelt yet tongue-in-cheek lyricism, Voka Gentle is a celebration of the dreamlike wonder and sheer ridiculousness of what it means to feel life acutely.
