Let's have a nice cold pint and wait for all of this to blow over

We know it won't. Buuuuuut. After a strange and confusing time on this 'ere Planet Earth, we think we're all due a nice pint or two.

What bloody good news, then, that Brewers Market is back! Head on down to Canal Mills 18-19 Nov for a roster of breweries from the North and beyond including Tall Boys, North Brew Co., Cloudwater, Magic Rock, Alphabet Brewery, Northern Monk, Black Lodge and others – a package that's completed nicely by street food favourites, live art and DJs, plus whisky, Prosecco and gin if you're that way inclined.

Our favourite spots in Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester

Elsewhere, why not check out the newest boozers that the region has to boast in our new openings column, or check out our treasured late night spots in Liverpool and Manchester? The good folk of Tall Boys Beer Market have been busy recommending their favourite Leeds hangouts, too.

So whether it's a huge beer festival in an 18th-century textile mill or a humble, unassuming local pub, you can rest assured that the North's got your back.
