Take One Screenwriters' Workshop...

Article by Yasmin Ali | 26 Aug 2009

WriteCameraAction is an affordable, creative screenwriting workshop bringing together writers, directors and actors in an informal setting to encourage co-learning and networking.

Here’s how it works. Writers, having submitted material in advance, gain a unique opportunity to see their screenplay rehearsed in front of the production crew, as well as being encouraged to produce their own short films and advertorials.

Each workshop plays out 4 or 5 scripts, with space for 40 observers. Following each session, which runs from 6pm until 9.30pm on the third Monday of the month, the creative juices spill over into the local pubs, rounding off a night that has now entered into its third year of residency at the CCA.

With a four-hundred strong mailing list and regular presence from both the Scottish Screenwriters and Actors Bothy, if you’ve got a passion for film – this is one for a gander.

Booking is essential. To take part in the September session (Monday 21 September) contact writecameraaction@hotmail.co.uk. Tickets available at £5/3.
