Whitney Port loves tights

City star Whitney Port can’t get enough of patterned stockings, and has advised fashion lovers everywhere to invest in several pairs for the upcoming season.

“I have an obsession with tights,” she admitted. “There are so many cool patterned versions around. I love the ones Henry Holland has done for Pretty Polly. I think tights are great for everyone. You don’t have to do the patterned ones – maybe mix things up and try deep purple rather than black. It’s the easiest way to update an outfit.”

Whitney is famed for her chic dress sense, and has revealed most of the clothes she sports in the MTV show are her own. She enjoys wearing high street steals as much as designer items, adding that her co-star Olivia Palermo also matches expensive and cheaper pieces.

She told Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper: “I get sent some cool things for free – I’m very lucky – but it’s not like MTV gives us a wardrobe each season. We do have to log all the brands we wear because they get put onto the website after each episode – a kind of ‘Get Whitney’s Look’. And it’s not all designer – Olivia wears lots of Topshop and Zara. You’d be surprised.”
