Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes celebrated their third wedding anniversary with a romantic dinner.

The couple opted for an Italian meal at Boston eatery Bricco on Saturday, several days before their November 18 anniversary. Tom decided to surprise Katie by hiring the entire second floor of the restaurant so they could have an intimate meal.

A source said: “They held hands the entire night and looked so in love. It really was so romantic, they looked like they were having so much fun.”

The couple feasted on specially-made pasta, with Tom opting for Chilean sea bass for main course and Katie choosing Wagyu steak.

On Sunday, they continued the festivities at the city’s Abe and Louie's restaurant. The venue has become a favourite of the couple while Tom has been shooting new movie Knight and Day in Boston.

The couple weren’t alone for their dinner – they brought their full security team with them, and sat at the front of the restaurant. They finished their meal with chocolate cake and key-lime pie.

Tom, 47, and 30-year-old Katie decided to celebrate their special day early as they were in different places on November 18. Tom flew to Austria to continue filming Knight and Day, while Katie was in New York making movie The Romantics.

A source told People magazine: “She really seems to be in great spirits. She is in a great mood but I think you can tell she misses him.”

Tom and Katie have three-year-old daughter Suri together. They married in a lavish ceremony in Italy’s 15th-century Odescalchi Castle.
