Taylor Swift got revenge on Kanye West on Saturday night.

The country singer was devastated when the rapper stormed onstage during her acceptance speech at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, saying Beyonce Knowles deserved the Best Female Video prize. So when the 19-year-old star hosted comedy show Saturday Night Live, she used her opening monologue to poke fun at Kanye, insisting she would be prepared if he ever crossed her again.

"You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye," Swift crooned, in the song entitled Monologue Song (La La La). "But everything's OK. I've got security lining the stage!"

The blonde beauty - who looked stunning in a sparkly Badgley Mischka mini-dress - also took a swipe at her former boyfriend Joe Jonas. She sang: "I like writing songs about douchebags who cheat on me. so they're ashamed to go out in public when I mention their names. You might think I'd bring up Joe, that guy who broke up with me on my phone, but I'm not going to mention him. Hey Joe, I'm doing real well. Tonight I'm hosting SNL, but I'm not going to brag about that."

Swift addressed her rumoured romance with Twilight star Taylor Lautner, singing, "And if you're wondering if I might be dating a werewolf from Twilight," before looking into the camera and mouthing, "Hi Taylor". She then blew a kiss and winked.

Last week, Lautner admitted he was "scared" he would end up in one of Swift's songs.
