Mark Owen marries girlfriend Emma Ferguson

Mark Owen married long-time girlfriend Emma Ferguson yesterday.

The Take That singer couldn't stop smiling throughout the candlelit ceremony at Cawdor Church in the Scottish Highlands.

Emma, 33, kept the 37-year-old star waiting at the altar for more than 30 minutes. When she finally arrived, dressed in a white lace gown and flanked by two bridesmaids, she was cheered on by hundreds of fans who had gathered outside the tiny chapel.

After the ceremony, the happy couple emerged to greet fans, showing off their rings under a shower of red rose petals.

They led their small group of guests - including Mark's bandmates Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Jason Orange, Coldplay singer Chris Martin and his wife Gwyneth Paltrow and former Take That member Robbie Williams - to a lavish reception at nearby Cawdor Castle.

Mark and Emma have been engaged since 2006, and have two children together, Elwood, three, and one-year-old Willow.
