Katie Price back on I’m A Celeb... for "closure"

Katie Price is going back into the Australian jungle for “closure”.

The glamour model has decided to complete a second stint on British reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. She first went on the programme in 2004, and it was where she met ex-husband Peter Andre. Six years, two children and a divorce later, she thinks the experience will help her make a fresh start.

“For others, it’s a game show,” the 31-year-old star explained. “For me, it’s closure. I’m going back to a place where a big fairytale began for me. I met my husband, I had two more beautiful children and six years on I’ve been married, divorced. I’m ready to go back in. I’ve had a c**p year and the fairytale has ended. I’m going in for closure.”

Katie – known as Jordan – also hopes appearing on the reality show will give her a chance to win back fans who have supported Peter during the couple’s bitter divorce.

“People think I’m breaking down, I’ve lost the plot, I’m not a good mum, I’m a man-eater,” she said. “They’ve got all these perceptions but I think when people see me again, like last time, they’ll see I’m grounded, if not more grounded. I’ve got no agenda, I’m not going to act any different. Obviously, six years on I’m more mature, I’m wiser, and I shall just be myself.”

Katie – who is getting £350,000 to appear on the show – is also looking forward to some “eye candy”, but insists she isn’t looking for love because she is smitten with cage fighter Alex Reid.

She said: “I’m very happy in the relationship. I want to have fun with everyone. At the end of the day, you’re going to starve, be bored, and there’s going to be people you don’t like, but I don’t want the others to judge me by what they’ve read. I’m just going to be myself.”
