Beyonce Knowles books hotel room just for her luggage.

The 28-year-old singer performed at Liverpool’s Echo Arena on Wednesday, and stayed at Manchester’s Lowry Hotel’s Charles Forte Presidential Suite at a cost of £2,450 a night. However, there wasn’t enough space for all her belongings so she also booked a room at Liverpool’s Malmaison hotel 30 miles away especially for her kit. The second space cost £170.

“She had seven suitcases, three hand-luggage bags and two boxes, all for her mammoth gig,” a source said. “In the cases there were apparently 14 dresses, lots of shoes, make-up and 25 wigs.”

The luggage was so heavy it took four members of staff to lug it to the room. The items were all for Beyonce’s two-hour show, which she played in front of 2,000 fans.

She is now heading to London, where she will watch her all-woman backing group give a special show at Wandsworth Palais.

Staff at the venue have already secured a special VIP section for her, which they have transformed into a miniature version of France’s opulent Palace of Versailles.
