Not a true double-A, more a B+ and a D-.

Single title: We Expected / Please Don't Call Me At Home
Artist: The Hussy's

Please don't call me at home, my Mum and Dad are living in the Sixties. Hate to be the one to break it to them, but their Mum and Dad aren't the only ones. Glasgow's indie darlings The Hussy's have crafted some suitably bright and breezy pop on this double A-side, but it's all just a bit too derivative to set these lobes alight. We Expected rollicks along nicely like Weezer on oestrogen, but Please Don't Call Me At Home should really have stayed as a B-side, and preferably been released forty years ago. Not a true double-A, more a B+ and a D-. [Dan Coxon]
