The Editors - Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors

This time around, it's all a little more relaxed and natural.

Single title: Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors
Artist: The Editors
Label: Sony/BMG
Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors sees The Editors going about things with a little more consideration than before. The Joy Division and Interpol influences remain as obvious as before. It's still built from the same jagged, cityscape guitar lines, but this time around it's all a little more relaxed and natural. There are pianos that nod towards TSOL's Beneath the Shadows. The lyrics show a slight hint of bitterness and while it's still the menagerie of cold pop sensibilities and radio friendly dance rhythms it all seems a little more grown up and a little less contrived this time around.
