The electro-levies have broke, and now comes the deluge. If 2009 is to be the year kids swap Fender for Casio en masse, then Soft Toy Emergency typify the shallow pleasures to come. With its txt-speak title and yelped, empty vocals about "'havin' it and needin’ it", I Kno U Want It initially irritates. Yet by being honest about their ambitions - to turn the listener into a “dancing fanny” apparently - it's difficult not to begrudgingly admit success.
