Scouting For Girls - It's Not About You

Get out and save the world - it needs you a lot more than you need this.

This world of ours needs many things: peace in the Middle East; a solution to global warming; simplistic voting systems. What it doesn't require is yet another Athlete. But, for some reason, no-one's informed Scouting For Girls. The London trio's debut EP, It's Not About You, is a bland, dismal concoction of emotionless strum-alongs and up-tempo cockney pop ditties only a mother or Toploader fans could love. Vocalist Roy Stride's cat-strangling drones are momentarily appeased by Mountains Of Navaho's slinking honky-tonk piano but, seriously, get out and save the world - it needs you a lot more than you need this.
