Sandi Thom - What If I 'm Right

A perfect fit of function and form, sadly, the function is wall-paper

Single title: What If I 'm Right
Artist: Sandi Thom
Label: RCA

Sandi Thom has attracted critical disapproval and strong record sales in equal measure. On What If I'm Right, Sandi praises her latest boyfriend in naive and mundane terms, although a harmonica driven romp about a man who won't steal the bedclothes is hardly charting unexplored emotional terrain. The caution of her desires is ably reflected in the jaunty, non-descript melody, which manages to sound as insincere as her limited range. A perfect fit of function and form, sadly, the function is wall-paper. [Gareth K Vile]
