Public Symphony aka Dobs Vye and James Reynold's debut physical single 'Breakthrough' is a collaboration with Hollywood animator Kel Nelson and his squad of volunteers. Although you can not deny that the video is very pretty indeed, especially for the mere $100,000 it took to make it, the song in itself, with its undeniable similarities to much of Coldplay's back catalogue, lacks any originality whatsoever, and you cannot help but cast your mind back to the Mitch Benn and the Distractions' comic song 'Everything Sounds Like Coldplay Now'. The CD single does feature Digimpro software for both PC and Mac which permits the listener to remix the track and later upload their version onto the www.youspins.com website for the entire world to hear.
