Nina Nastasia - What She Doesn't Know

Nina Nastasia's What She Doesn't Know is little over two minutes and features nothing but her tender, sincere voice, acoustic guitar, and drums that come in halfway through the song. Nastasia needs only a few lunges to express the melancholy position of being in an affair with a married person as she sings "we disappeared for hours/what she doesn't know couldn't hurt her anyway" with a sigh. The song is beautiful, but fades away too quickly. It would make for an excellent album track but doesn't quite have the strength to stand up as a single on its own. [Tobias Kahn]
