Single title: Bleed It Out
Artist: Linkin Park

Before it became quite so common practice to embrace the far reaches of the internet superhighway, Mike Shinoda used to e-mail everyone he could – even plooky Scottish students - in order to spread the word about Linkin Park. But little could he have known of the career to follow: the multi-million sales and high profile collaborations, as well as the inherent pressure to outlive the nu-metal trend they rose up with. So "Here we go, for the hundredth time…" he tallies up on the pogo-friendly Bleed it Out, all but confessing to the charge that they're compelled to phone in this dross these days. [Johnny Langlands]
