King Creosote - 678

Those already in the know will be aware of 678's wondrous lovelorn shimmer, those who aren't will likely be just as captivated. This re-recorded rendition is a bit sparer than the familiar album version and, at almost half the length, is also missing the gradual build up of massed Hey Jude-style vocals. A wee bit pointless in musical terms then, but, if it succeeds in attracting more converts to the good King's flock, it will have done its job admirably. [Duncan Forgan]
