Label: Brille
Known for "raw and heartfelt records," Good Shoes delve deeply into the influences of classic British bands for 'The Photos On My Wall'. Sounding a little too much like The Cure when they thought they were a pop band, with flashes of all that 'cool' new British indie in there as well. It's tenacious and it's memorable, with feel good vibes and an accentuated Englishness. Upbeat all the way, the sounds explored are hardly groundbreaking, and just maybe Good Shoes take themselves a little too seriously, but with pop music as catchy as this, maybe that doesn't matter too much.
