Raw and uncomplicated, 'Soldier On' has an infectious rhythm, catchy chorus and powerful honesty that sets it apart from similar anthems that feature more complicated production. Sounding more than a little like the recent U2/Greenday collaboration, it is far better, with a more brutal sound and heartfelt sentiments – the sort of song that inspires in the face of adversity. While it's not going to revolutionise rock and roll, it would be ideal for a movie soundtrack and impresses with solid drum backing, intense guitar and lyrics that you can already hear the crowds chanting.
