With their latest single, Wondering, Dirty Pretty Things make a notable effort to cut a slice of the indie market and carve a niche for themselves with their own brand of guitar thrashing. However, despite being one of the supposed 'cooler' bands around, their latest offers little inspiration to the trained ear and lacks any distinctive quality so as to differentiate itself from the seemingly never-ending stream of new British indie bands. Although, that is not to say that fans of the band (and, indeed, fans of previous single Bang Bang You're Dead) will be disappointed as there is enough in Wondering to keep you, er... wondering.
