13 Senses - All the Love In Your Hands

They don't really have anything to say beyond vapid sentiments.

Single title: All the Love In Your Hands
Artist: 13 Senses
Label: Mercury
According to the words written on them thus far, 13 Senses' earliest recordings were criticised for being too languid - probably because they came from rural Cornwall. Now they have relocated to London, and make generic indie rock. It pulses in all the right places, has a spacious guitar line and a questing vocal. Sadly, there is nothing distinctive about All the Love in your Hands. As the title suggests, they don't really have anything to say beyond vapid sentiments - apparently 'everything is broken' and 'eyes can see anything they want to believe'. It's all rather self-consciously air-punching and, despite the big city relocation, a wee bit lazy. [Gareth K Vile]
