Trentemöller - Live in Concert EP (Poker Flat)

Taken from last year’s Roskilde festival performance, this 4-track EP captures perfectly the energy of the band’s live performances. Take Me Into Your Skin builds delicately constructed instrumental passages into raving acidic beats and furious percussion, separated by a brief diversion into the opening bars of Blue Monday. Trentemöller pulls the same trick later on with Into The Trees, segueing into his remix of What Else is There? before the climactic break. It’s these subtle reinventions that make Live in Concert so compelling, and the quality of the music compensates for an often muffled sound quality.
